About Us
A longtime leader in the cement manufacturing industry, Ash Grove Cement Company, headquartered in Overland Park, Kan., operates cement plants in eight states across the country. The Ash Grove Cement Company has a strong and longstanding tradition of service, reliability, and quality that reaches back more than 131 years. A pioneer of the lime and cement industries, the Company was incorporated in Missouri in 1882 as the Ash Grove White Lime Association.
The eight cement plants operating in the Ash Grove system are some of the most efficient and best maintained in the country and have an annual production capacity of nearly 9 million tons of cement. Ash Grove is the sixth largest cement manufacturer in the United States. The quality portland and masonry cements produced at these plants are used in the construction of highways, bridges, commercial and industrial complexes, single and multi-family homes, and a myriad of other structures fundamental to America's economic vitality and quality of life.
In addition to our cement manufacturing facilities, the Company operates two deep water import terminals west of the Mississippi, extensive ready-mix operations in the Midwest, and packaging operations throughout the Midwest and West.
Ash Grove's marketing and operations departments are located in Portland, Ore., for the Western division, Houston, Texas, for the Texas division, and at the company's headquarters in Overland Park, Kan., for the Midwest division.
