The Baker County Economic Development was created in partnership with the City of Baker City and Baker County to help local entrepreneurs to start, retain, or expand their business.  Here are some of the services they provide:

The Community Development Department was created in partnership with the City of Baker City and Baker County to aid in managing and planning for the community's growth and development. We strive to create a business-friendly environment that fosters sustainability and encourages economic growth.

The Community Development Department currently oversees the Baker County Enterprise Zone and the Elkhorn View Industrial Park located in Baker City.

Northeast Oregon Economic Development District

Northeast Oregon Economic Development District or NEOEDD provides a variety of Training and Technical Assistance, Strategic Planning, and Program Administration/Staffing Services.  If you need assistance, call us anytime to discuss your project, business or organizational needs:  541-426-3598  or  800-645-9454 . Training and Technical Assistance

NEOEDD provides many types of training and technical assistance for businesses, citizen groups, non-profits and local governments. We can help you learn to improve your business or organization through workshops, classes or customized training. Training is available in business plan development, marketing, financing, public relations, organizational and project development, fund-raising, grant-writing and leadership development.

You can also hire NEOEDD to work on specific tasks for your organization, community or business. Our technical assistance includes grant research, grant writing, grant administration, meeting facilitation, feasibility studies, business plans, project development and management, research and data analysis and report writing.

The District also provides economic data for researchers and referrals to other technical assistance providers.

Oregon’s small businesses are as unique as our state. Our services help small businesses at every stage – from pre-launch to exit – with the advice and tools needed to be successful. From free advising to capital access, we have the resources to help.
